Transportation Guide

From Airport to KL Convention Centre: Visitors travelling to Kuala Lumpur can easily reach the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from the main gateway, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), using a variety of convenient transport options including taxis and e-hailing services.

Taxi Services

Airport taxis are readily available at designated counters and taxi stands at KLIA. Visitors are advised to use official coupon taxis or metered taxis for a safe and transparent journey. Taxi fares are fixed based on zones, and payment can be made at the airport counter before boarding.

E-Hailing Services

E-hailing is one of the most popular and convenient transport options in Malaysia. Visitors can download the Grab app to book a ride directly from the airport to the city.

Passport Entries Formalities

Visitors from most countries do not need a visa to enter Malaysia, just a valid passport. However, visitors should check and learn whether you need a visa or entry permit to enter Malaysia for a visit or transit when planning your travel. Please click here for details.

In the case that a visa is required, Visa application can be apply at any nearest Malaysian Embassies and High Commissions Office Abroad. Application can also be made online through eVISA Portal (applicable for Tourist, Expatriate, Student and Medical Tourist from 10 countries (People Republic of China (PRC), India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Bhutan, Serbia and Montenegro only).

Visa is not required for a stay of less than one (1) month for ASEAN nationals except Myanmar. Visas are required for duration of stay exceeding one (1) month except for Brunei and Singapore nationals.

What are the documents needed upon arrival at Malaysia entry checkpoints?

The following documents are required to be presented upon arrival in Malaysia entry check-points:
